House rules

A few rules keep the house calm.

Each one comes with the reason behind it. Most are about sleep: this is a house for resting, not for parties.

In the house

  • No smoking anywhere in the house.

    Why: Clean air in every dorm, and beds that smell fresh.

  • Keep nights calm and quiet.

    Why: Most guests come here to sleep well.

  • No hen or stag parties.

    Why: The house is built for rest, not for parties.

  • Shoes off indoors.

    Why: Clean floors, as in most Lao homes.

Your stay

  • Check-in from 14:00.

    Why: Time to clean every bed and make it up fresh.

  • Check-out until 11:30.

    Why: So beds are ready for the guests arriving that afternoon.

  • Early check-in is possible when a bed is free.

    Why: It depends on who checked out and whether the bed is ready.

  • Bring your passport to check-in.

When you arrive

Four steps from the airport to your pod.
  1. Before you travel

    Travellers can complete the Lao Digital Immigration Form online before arrival. It was introduced in stages from September 2025 at some entry points, with wider rollout planned, so check the official page for your entry point.   2. On the way

    Message the team on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab) with your arrival time. The team can arrange transport from the airport. From the airport, step by step.

  3. At the desk

    Guesthouses in Laos register foreign guests with the local authorities, so please have your passport with you at check-in.

  4. Your pod

    Check-in is from 14:00. Early check-in: possible, subject to availability. Your pod has a privacy curtain, a reading light, a personal power socket and a locker or safe. More about the house.
